VP hopes conclusion of peace, statute

KATHMANDU, AUG 11 - Vice President Parmananda Jha has expressed the confidence that the political parties would fulfill the responsibility of establishing peace and writing the constitution in the present complicated situation of the country by putting aside their vested interests.

Inaugurating a programme organized to mark the Sixth Anniversary of the Civil Voice for Peace and Development here on Thursday, Vice President Jha called on the political parties to come to consensus for fulfilling the task of peace, constitution and collaboration.

On the occasion, President of the organization, Ram Chandra Pokharel said the organization has been providing cooperation and collaborating for the development of different sectors in society and the conflict victims. The organization was established in 2005.

Twenty-nine distinguished persons from 14 districts were honoured on the occasion. RSS
