GORKHA, AUG 04 -
Diarrhoea has claimed three lives in Padi and Doyal of Sirdibas VDC of Gorkha district. Six others have been badly affected by the disease.
Bipin Gurung, 42, Sundari Gurung 46, of Ward No. 7 and Bina Gurung, 8, of Ward No. 1 of the VDC died due to diarrhoea, said Dhan Bahadur Gurung, chairman of local Buddha Secondary School.
As many as 100 villagers have been affected due to diarrhoea in total 70 families out of 115 households in the two villages, Padi and Doyal.
Meanwhile, a team of health workers led by Dr. Binay Shrestha equipped with medicine has left to the VDC from Arughat Primary Health Center for the treatment, according to District Public Health Office, Gorkha.
The team will reach the diarrhoea affected area by Thursday. It takes three days to reach Sirdibas on foot from Gorkha district headquarters.
