KATHMANDU, AUG 04 - The Finance and Labour Relations Committee of the Legislature-Parliament has directed the Ministry of Labour and Transport to set a standard while importing vehicles in the country.
A meeting of the Committee held at Singha Durbar, Kathmandu on Thursday issued such directive citing surging traffic problems in the Capital and other cities.
Likewise, the Committee has also directed the ministry to prepare a policy on pay parking, Committee President Sushila Kandangwa said.
The meeting has also asked the ministry to construct roads on the banks of Bagmati River, Dhobikhola River and Bishnumati River by stopping soaring encroachment in the riverbanks.
