Agitating teachers rounded up from Capital
KATHMANDU, AUG 03 -
Police rounded up around 139 temporary teachers on Wednesday while they were staging a sit-in outside the Education Ministry in the Capital.
They were staging the sit-in protest since 10 this morning, demanding permanent status with necessary process.
Police informed that the arrested teachers have been detained at Nepal Police Club in Bhrikuti Mandap.
“The police suddenly came and arrested us while we were at a peaceful sit-in protest,” said Dinesh Thapa, Secretary of the Temporary Teachers Union Protest Committee.
