Two officials of District Land Revenue Office, Surkhet were held in custody after they were found drinking alcohol in the office during work hour. They have been rammed into the custody from two days.
Chief of District Land and Revenue Office, Nabin Khadka and Section officer Gorkha Bahadur Khadka were taken into custody by the police under the directive of District Chief Officer Krishna Prasad Adhikari.
According to Police Inspector Kishor Shrestha, the officials were arrested after complaints about their activities were lodged at the district administration. Necessary actions would be taken to the officials, he added.
Police informed that they were found drinking alcohol before as well. About a month ago, both the officials had promised not to repeat the same thing.
As chief of the district office, Aaram Bikram Shah, was in a leave, Section Officer Khadka had been working in his place.
