KATHMANDU, JUL 28 -
Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Yang Houlan met former Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal on Thursday morning.
In an hour-long meeting held at Nepal’s residence, the duo held discussion on bilateral relationship between Nepal and China, among other issues.
During the meeting, the former prime minister praised China for being a good neighbouring country.
“Nepal will always follow One China Policy and regarding Tibet, there would not be any act supporting Tibet,” Nepal said.
On the occasion, Houlan praised the Nepali government and its citizens for being positive towards China. He also said China is always ready to assist Nepal in any ways possible.
Inquiring about the peace process and constitution drafting, Yang expressed his belief that the country will be prosperous after the conclusion of the twin tasks.
In response, Nepal said political parties have been making attempts for the same and added that he is hopeful about the positive result.
Also the duo held discussion on implementation of comprehensive partnership for development pact which was inked when Nepal was the Prime Minister.
