NAWALPARASI, JUL 20 -
A 70-year-old man was killed after being hit by a truck at Basa Chowk in Tilakpur VDC of Nawalparasi district on Wednesday morning.
The truck (Lu 1 Kha 4904) was heading for western district from east.
The deceased has been identified as Gopal Prasad Poudel. He was cycling from the opposite direction towards his field.
Poudel was in his own side but the truck crushed and killed him, said victim’s family. Meanwhile, police have detained the driver and his truck.
