PM urges Dahal to take result-oriented step for timely statute
KATHMANDU, JUL 18 -
Prime Minister Jhala Nath Khanal has stressed to draft the new constitution and take the peace process to a logical conclusion at the earliest.
The prime minister said so while meeting UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal at the PM's official residence in Baluwatar Monday morning.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Khanal also urged to move ahead seriously for timely statute saying that the extended time of the Constituent Assembly has nearly come to an end.
Dahal is also the coordinator of Dispute Resolution sub-committee formed to resolve disputes seen in constitution drafting.
The prime minister urged the Maoist supreme to take result-oriented step for the timely statute, PM's press advisor Surya Thapa said.
During the meeting that lasted for an hour, Maoist Chairman Dahal informed the prime minister that he has put-forth the proposed for timely statute and conclusion of the peace and constitution at the ongoing party’s Central Committee meeting.
He said the meeting will give a positive decision on the same.
