SYANGJA, JUL 11 -
An elderly woman was killed following a dispute over cutting grass in Walling Municipality-6 here in the district. Tika Kumari Masyangi, 70, was stabbed by her neighbour Durga Bahadur Thapa, 55, Ward Police Station Walling informed.
The two neighbours had a dispute over the territory of their land while Masyangi was cutting grass. Following which, Thapa hit Masyangi with a sickle on her hand that led to her death due to excessive bleeding, police said.
Police have taken Thapa into custody and investigating the incident. The dead body was sent to Walling Primary Health Post for post mortem.
