KATHMANDU, JUL 10 - The Embassy of Nepal in Seoul, Korea organised a day-long “Nepal Festival 2011” at Yeoido Hangang Park in Seoul on Sunday, as part of the annual program of promoting economic diplomacy.
On the occasion, Ambassador of Nepal to Korea, Kamal Koirala highlighted the purpose and objectives of organizing this program and underscored the importance of such an event in promoting Nepali culture, trade, tourism and investment in Korea.
Cultural show and Nepali food served by the Nepali community living in Korea were the highlights of the event organized with the support of local organizations, Seoul Global Centre, Non-Resident Nepalese Association, and Nepal Tourism Board.
Promotional brochures and information materials as well as t-shirts were distributed to the large number of Korean nationals who came to observe the event.
Also present at the program were members of the Nepali community including students in Korea, members of the diplomatic community, representatives of Nepal-Korea Friendship Association, Korean Business community, Korea Buddhist Coalition for Social Welfare, the Journalists Federation of Korea, and Korea Alpine Association.
