Two held with fake Indian Currency
CHITWAN, JUL 08 -
District Police Office, Chitwan held two persons with Indian fake currency around Rs. 200,000 on Friday morning.
They were apprehended with fake currency from Narayangarh of Chitwan, informed Chitwan Police In-charge Rabindra Sharma.
The criminals were arrested with the amount brought from Birgunj area on the basis of special tip-off, he added.
The arrested are rickshaw puller Khadga Bahadur Satyal (Gopal), 36, of Chattiban of Makawanpur and Raju Ghimire of Kamane of Makawanpur.
Efforts are being made to nab the mastermind of fake currency transaction based on the explanations furnished by the arrested, police said.
Meanwhile, police took control of 30 motorcycles and a Santro car of theft in Chitwan during the month of June-July and subsequently handed over to Customs Office, he further informed.
