Former wrestler shot
RAUTAHAT, JUL 07 -
An unidentified group of persons shot dead former national wrestler Upendra Das Bairagi in Gaur, the district headquarters of Rautahat, on Thursday evening.
The assailants shot at him while he was with his friends in Gaur Minicipality-8 at around 8:15 pm, police said. The critically injured Das died on way to a hospital.
The 45-year-old former player had won the bronze medal in wrestling during the 8th SAF games in Nepal. Das, a permanent resident of Prempur Gonahi VDC in the district, had been living in Gaur for the past few years, citing security reasons.
