DPM Mahara adamant on policies & programmes
KATHMANDU, JUL 05 -
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Home Affairs Krishna Bahadur Mahara said on Tuesday that the terms ‘inclusive’ and ‘People’s War’ included under the policies and programmes tabled by the government for the budget of fiscal year 2068-69 would not be changed at any cost.
Claiming that the policies and programmes were tabled with consensus, Mahara underlined that protesting over the same was pointless.
Speaking at a programme organised in Pokhara, he added that minor dissatisfactions over the policies and programmes were natural.
The main opposition Nepali Congress (NC), on the other hand, has warned to vote against the budget provided that the policies and programmes were not revised as per the amendment proposals registered by the party.
