7 houses robbed in Nawalparasi

NAWALPARASI, JUL 02 -

Seven houses have been robbed in Hardiya of Swathi Village Development Committee of Nawalparasi on Friday night.

An armed group of 12-15 persons looted property worth Rs. 500,000 from seven houses of Swathi-5, Hardiya.

The robbers’ group had stolen gold and silver from most of the houses. As of now, police have not been able to bring the guilty of the incident to book.

The armed group robbed valuables from the houses of Dhan Prasad Gyawali, Narayan Prasad Kattel, Man Bahadur Thapa, Tulasi Kattel, Harihar Amatya, Kamal Rana and Ramesh Gurung.

The robbery took place by brandishing gun to the members of the houses. The police said that the robbers looted gold worth Rs. 400,000 and cash Rs. 100,000.

The incident of robbery took place in the area, which is just a kilometer away from Police Post Sunawal. It has added challenges to police post set up to look after the security of people and their properties.
