CPN-UML leader Shankar Pokharel said on Wednesday that the political parties must act responsible in order to implement the five-point agreement.
"There is no alternative to implementing the five-point pact to conclude the peace process," he said, speaking at a function in Kailali district today.
Adding that the UML was ready to implement the agreement, he said that the party would not stake claim to government leadership if national consensus over the next leadership was forged.
In a different context, he said the state must take initiatives to encourage farmers to opt for modern agriculture.
