Two killed in Palpa truck mishap

PALPA, JUN 29 -
Two persons have been killed in a road mishap at Jorte of Deurali VDC in Palpa district on Wednesday.
One of the deceased has been identified as Navaraj Ghalana, 40, of Padam Pokhari in Makwanpur. The identification of the other is yet to be ascertained.
Truck driver Ghalana died on spot when the truck (Na 2 Kha 8505) en route to Gulmi from Butwal fell some 150 metres off the road this morning.
The other person breathed his last while undergoing treatment at Mission Hospital in Tansen, sources confirmed.
The Palpa-Gulmi road stretch is reported to have been obstructed following the accident.
Efforts to resume transportation are underway, police said.
