UML PP urges NC to work for consensus
KATHMANDU, JUN 14 -
The Parliamentary Party (PP) of the CPN-UML on Tuesday urged the main opposition—Nepali Congress (NC)—to express commitment towards the ongoing processes of peace and statute drafting.
The UML PP meet convened at Singhadurbar in the Capital this morning appealed to the NC to come forth for coordination and consensus rather than initiate a stir, in order to prepare the integrated draft of the new constitution by August 31.
The assembly of the NC’s district presidents last Saturday drew a conclusion, which pressed the NC leadership to prepare for a stir provided that the peace and the constitution writing processes fail to gain momentum within August 31.
