‘Kindness to Maoists would end UML’s existence’
KATHMANDU, JUN 11 - Former Prime Minster and CPN-UML senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal has said on Friday that his party’s existence would end if the UML becomes kind to the UCPN (Maoist).
“If the UML keeps on following Maoists’ agenda and show kindness to them, the party’s existence would end,” said Nepal, addressing a programme organised in the Capital today.
Hinting towards UML Chairman and Prime Minister Jhala Nath Khanal, the UML senior leader urged the leadership not to spare Maoists’ crimes.
“A broom must be used to clean up the debris of the Maoists,” asserted Nepal. “The debris have become hard, a common broom will not do.”
Nepal expressed his doubt that the Maoists would implement the five-point agreement signed by the major three political parties—Nepali Congress, UML and the Maoists—at the early hours on May 29.
