KATHMANDU, JUN 07 -
Police recovered a historical idol at Kavresthali in Kathmandu on Sunday night. The Lord Ganesh image was 16-inch long and 12-inch wide. Three men and one woman with a child have been arrested for investigation. Shyam Rai (60) of Nuwakot, Gopal Ghimire (35) and Krishna Kapali (32) of Dharmasthali and Sharmila Shrestha (34) were arrested on the charge of stealing the idol. Police said they are probing into the case. At Naya Bus Park, a special squad led by Assistant Sub-inspector Tek Bahadur Kunwar seized a Japan-made revolver from Bal Bahadur Bhujel of Khotang. Police said six persons have been arrested in connection with illegal possession of the weapon. (
