‘NC leadership developing authoritarian tendencies’
CHITWAN , JUN 04 - Nepali Congress (NC) leader Arjun Narsingh KC on Saturday accused his party’s leadership of inclining towards authoritarianism.
Inaugurating a party training at Mangalpur in Chitwan district today, the NC leader opined that voices must be raised against the NC’s authoritarian tendencies in order to ensure its existence.
“The current party leadership is arrogant,” KC asserted, “The cadres of the party must stand against such ideology.”
However, he did not reveal the reason behind his accusation.
KC warned that his party would fight against the UCPN (Maoist) if the latter continues its undemocratic ways.
“Undemocratic forces always see the NC as their enemy,” remarked the NC leader, “The NC will play an offensive role against such elements.”
The NC leader urged the Maoist to express commitment towards democracy by handing over the weapons to the Special Committee for Supervision, Rehabilitation, and Integration of Maoist combatants.
