KATHMANDU, MAY 29 -
Asmita Magar of Kamalodaya and Shree Devi Tamang of National Children progressed to the semi-final of the 17th International High-school Karate Championship on Saturday. Asmita overcame Simran Rai of National Ideal, while Shree Devi defeated Sunaina Dahal of Cambridge in the quarter-final of the girl's 20 kg weight group. In the 25 kg weight group, Sabina Magar and Bipana Bhurtel triumphed. Likewise, Elisa Tamang of West Point and Surgam Balami of Redden confirmed their spot in the semi-final of the 30 kg weight group. In the boy's 20 kg category, Raj Kumar Lama of Durbin Academy and Roshan Thapa of GEMS marched to the semi-final. Similarly, Nirakar Man Pradhan of Durbin Academy and Gautam Shrestha of Siddhartha Vanasthali advanced to final four in the 30 kg weight group.
