NTY 2011 uniquely promoted in London buses
KATHMANDU, MAY 23 - With a view to draw maximum number of tourists into Nepal, the London-based Nepali Embassy, in cooperation with Nepal Tourism Board (NTB), has promoted the Nepal Tourism Year 2011.
The double-decker London buses with imprints of promotional theme, 'Naturally Nepal', were seen in the streets of London.
This is the first time such type of module has been taken into account to marketing Nepal’s tourism in the United Kingdom, according to a press statement released by the embassy on Sunday.
London Gold buses, wherein adverts will stay on a rotation of key Central London routes, run through the highly populated yet tourist centres such as Trafalgar Square, Liverpool Street, Bond Street, Kensington, and Oxford street etc, the statement reads.
Earlier, the Nepali Embassy had also published A4 sized advertisement in the Geographical Magazine for the tourism promotion, which is the official magazine of the Royal Geographical Society and has a readership of over 105,000.
