KATHMANDU, MAY 22 - CPN-UML General Secretary Ishwor Pokharel has tabled an action plan to conclude the peace process within nine weeks at the party politburo meeting on Sunday.
The action plan includes plans to forge consensus on the contentious issues surfaced in the statute drafting process within the same period.
The politburo meeting, which was summoned in the party head office in Balkhu, is said to continue tomorrow as well after the leaders failed to nail down concrete decision on the proposal put forth by the party general secretary.
Due to the same reason, the party Central Working Committee meeting slated for tomorrow has been postponed for Tuesday.
The meeting also dwelt on the issues related to Constitution Assembly (CA)’s term extension and party’s internal conflicts.
