KATHMANDU, MAY 21 -

UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal held consultation with Nepali Congress President Sushil Koirala to forge consensus on army integration proposal on Saturday morning.

Major three parties—the Maoist, the Nepali Congress and the CPN-UML—are yet to forge consensus on the number of Maoist combatants to be integrated in security forces.

It has been reported that during the meeting held for an hour at Koirala's residence in Maharajgunj, Koirala reiterated his party's stance to stick to the 10-point demand put forth by the NC for the party's support for extending the Constituent Assembly tenure.

The NC has been demanding resignation of Prime Minister Jhala Nath Khanal citing there is no alternative to national consensus government for the conclusion of the peace process and statute drafting.

Maoist Chairman Dahal met NC President Koirala soon after the meeting with the coalition partners this morning.
