KATHMANDU, MAY 14 -

CPN-UML senior leader KP Sharma Oli said on Saturday that the intention of the government has become a matter of suspicion after it unilaterally proposed an extension of the Constituent Assembly (CA)’s term without holding consultations with the political parties

Speaking at a programme organised in the Capital, Oli claimed that Prime Minister Jhalanath Khanal is moving forward sans holding discussions even with the UML.

“Decision on such vital issues must be made with consensus,” he said, “Endeavouring to endorse the proposal of CA’s term extension on majority basis would be a foolish step to undertake.”

On the occasion, Oli underlined that conspiracies to shove the nation towards a conflict by initiating leftist and non-leftist polarisation are escalating at present.
