KATHMANDU, MAY 06 -

UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal said on Friday that a new proposal on peace and constitution drafting would be put forth soon.

Dahal informed that a concrete proposal on the integration and integrated draft of the new constitution would be tabled at the soon-to-be-held meeting between major three parties.

Talking to media persons in the capital today, Dahal claimed that a major deal would be struck between the three parties within the next few days. The new proposals will contain time-bound action plan for integration and rehabilitation of the Maoist combatants—a key part of the 2006 peace deal—including the classification of combatants to be integrated into the security bodies.

Meanwhile, Chairman Dahal denied having any differences within his party over the recent Cabinet expansion.

Dahal said so at a time when Maoist cadres close to Mohan Baidya have been expressing dissatisfaction over the distribution of ministries.
