'Govt striving for peace, timely statute'
LALITPUR, APR 26 -
Prime Minister Jhalanath Khanal said on Tuesday that the new constitution should be promulgated after piloting the peace process to a logical conclusion.
Claiming that the nation is in the last stages of transition, PM Khanal said that the government is striving to meet the principle targets—peace and timely statute—at present.
Speaking at a programme organised at Lalitpur in the Capital, he underlined that the nation will reel into a catastrophe and the deadlock will continue provided that the current transitional phase is not managed properly.
“Scores of challenges and possibilities lie ahead of us at present,” PM Khanal said, “We must move forward in unity to overcome the challenges and make the most out of the possibilities."
