KASKI, APR 25 - Rastriya Janamorcha Party (RJP) Chairman Chitra Bahadur KC has remarked on Monday that it is impossible to promulgate the new constitution within the stipulated time.

KC stressed that the chances of completing the new constitution is getting slimmer as the debate over state-restructuring and fundamental issues of constitution have yet to be sorted out.

Speaking at a press conference here in the district organised to inform about the 3rd National Convention of RJP to be held in Pokhara, KC said that the constitution was delayed because the parties were caught up in the debate over government and its leadership rather than the constitution.

When asked if it was almost impossible to release the constitution in time, KC said, "It is not completely impossible. If the parties work together in unity then the basic infrastructure could be completed." He further said that the delineation of federal states on the basis of ethnicity would put a serious threat to nationality and integrity.

KC warned that the adoption of federalism would disintegrate the country by inciting ethnic violence. KC stressed on the unity and coordination among the parties to save the country from such danger and challenges.
