KC rules out possibility of timely statute

Nepali Congress Central member Arjun Narsingh KC ruled out the possibility of new constitution within May 28 deadline.
KC said so while inaugurating the 88th birth anniversary of democratic icon in Bhaktapur on Sunday.
Also on the occasion, KC accused the political parties of not showing seriousness in statute drafting process.
He said, "UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has been saying that the new constitution will be promulgated within seven days but it can not be drafted on the basis of weapon and combatants."
Also on the occasion, KC said the NC is ready to support the Maoist if it implements all the agreements including the points mentioned in the Comprehensive Peace Accord.
