KATHMANDU, APR 22 -
Police on Thursday nabbed a 19-year-old girl who allegedly robbed young boys of their belongings by calling them to her rented room promising them of sexual favour.
The arrested girl has been identified as Nilima Bastola, a native of Sunsari, who was apprehended from her Naya Bazaar-based rented accommodation based on victims’ complaints.
Police said the modus operandi of the girl was unique. “Bastola would send vulgar messages and pictures to gullible young boys through SMSes and emails. Then she would call them to her room one after another for sexual relationship before robbing them with the help of her male friend.
Police also nabbed one of her boyfriend—identified as Yogendra Khanal (29), a native of Kirtipur—from her rented accommodation for his involvement in
the robbery. The victim told the police that she took him to her room to make her plan successful.
Police said Bastola’s robbery spree could not be unfolded earlier as the victims refused to admit that they were robbed by a girl.
After being tipped-off about the girl, a policeman, under the guise of a gullible boy seeking sexual favour, went to her room and caught her along with her henchman while he tried to rob the cop.
