No discussion regarding CA's term: Nembang
KATHMANDU, APR 14 -
Constituent Assembly (CA) Chairman Subash Chandra Nembang has said on Thursday that no one has held discussion regarding the CA's term extension.
Speaking to the media persons at a program organised to mark the New Year at the prime minister's residence in Baluwatar, Nembang said, "None of the party leaders have said anything to me about the term extension of the CA."
Nembang claimed that the constitution can still be promulgated within the allocated time if all the parties collaborate for it. He said that there is no alternative to conclude the peace process and to promulgate the new constitution.
Nembang also notified that the meeting of the sub-committee, created within the Constitutional Committee to resolve the contentious issues of the constitution, has been called for Friday.
Nembang ruled out the possibility of presenting an 'early budget', as proposed by the government . He said that he has already notified Prime Minister Jhala Nath Khanal and Finance Minister Bharat Mohan Adhikari about it.
