SLC exam concludes
KATHMANDU, APR 01 -
This year’s School Leaving Certificate (SLC) examination concluded on Friday.
According to the Office of the Controller of Examinations (OCE), a total of 496,243 students appeared in this year's SLC exam for which 1,672 centres were set up across the country. Of the total, 436,411 were regular examinees while 59,832 were exempted.
Similarly, 8,140 students—7,794 regular and 346 exempted—took part in the exams from 89 open schools. This year, the highest numbers of students—32,860—appeared for the exam from Kathmandu, while the least number of students —122—were from Manang.
A total of 47,242 personnel, including 1,672 superintendents, 2,395 assistant superintendents, 19,843 invigilators and 6,612 peons, were deployed for the nine-day examination.
The SLC Examination Board adopted tough measures in a bid to conduct fair exams.
