CHITWAN, APR 01 -

Prime Minister Jhala Nath Khanal said on Friday that the peace process could be taken to the logical conclusion and new constitution could be promulgated within the two months if the political parties have willpower to do so.

Speaking at an inaugural function organised by Nepal Netrajyoti Sangh, Chitwan, PM Khanal said "There is no problem for peace and constitution writing when the major political parties work keeping the country and its people's progress in center."

He said it is possible to promulgate constitution within two months saying political parties have already finalised some contentious issues and some others are under the discussion. "Most of the works for the constitution writing have been completed, only there is the lack of willpower among the parties," said Khanal.

Khanal urged the political parties to be united and move ahead to end the transition period saying the nation has been in final phase of the political transition.

He said UML-led government has the goal only for peace and constitution writing, however, it is not possible in any individual's efforts alone that all need to support for the mission. "We have enough resources that we need not have to depend to others when the resources were fully utilised," said Khanal. He said Nepali people could face any challenges urging all to struggle to overcome them.

On the occasion, PM Khanal inaugurated a newly constructed building for OPD Service in Bharatpur Eye Hospital.

PM Khanal will lay the foundation stone for the construction of a building for Gauriganj Higher Secondary today. He is scheduled to go to Sauraha to inaugurate a gathering of Press Chautari Nepal, Friday afternoon.
