UML Disciplinary Commission seeks clarifications from lawmaker Yadav
KATHMANDU, MAR 29 -
The Central Disciplinary Commission of CPN-UML has said that if Constituent Assembly (CA) member Kiran Devi Yadav did send her daughter to appear instead of her in the School Leaving Certificate (SLC) examinations then she would be liable to action.
The commission wrote a letter to the Parliamentary Party to clarify the issue of Yadav as projected by the media. Commission Chairman Amrit Kumar Bohara sent the letter to UML Chief Whip Bhim Acharya to clarify Yadav's case. "What is the truth behind the issue of a person in such a prestigious post? If the incident has happened, then it is of a grave concern and should be punished," reads the letter.
Yadav, who was elected as a UML CA member under the proportional system, had reportedly sent her daughter for the first three SLC examinations. She was present in the exam on Monday.
