MJF-N seeks commitment towards peace, statute
KATHMANDU, MAR 03 -
Madhesi Janadhikar Forum-Nepal (MJF-N) Chairman Upendra Yadav said on Thursday that the party will join the current government provided that the latter expresses commitment towards the accomplishment of the peace and the statute drafting processes and solution to the Madhesi issues.
Talking to the mediapersons after the meeting convened with UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal this morning, Yadav said that the MJF-N will participate in the government only if the leaders commit to address the issues of peace, statute, and the Madhes.
"Government participation is not a big deal," he said, "The MJF-N seeks commitment towards the solution of the persisting issues."
It is reported that Yadav will convene a discussion with Prime Minister Jhalanath Khanal on the issue of government participation today.
