‘Maoist joining govt for peace, timely statute’
GULMI, MAR 03 -
UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal said on Thursday that the party is joining the current government with an intent to expedite the peace and the statute drafting process.
Speaking at a programme organised in Gulmi, Dahal said that the Maoist decided to participate in the government in order to ensure the success of the Constituent Assembly (CA) and institutionalise the progresses attained by the Janandolan-II.
He added that some reactionary forces are still scheming to topple the current government.
On the occasion, Dahal underlined that some political parties are against the timely promulgation of the new constitution because they are threatened that the same might lead to an extended rule of the Maoist in the nation.
