Two swept away in Trishuli
DHADING, FEB 23 - Two UCPN (Maoist) activists went missing after they were swept away by the Trishuli river in Jogimara VDC-9, Dhading, on Tuesday.
The victims have been identified as Kamal Shrestha and Shiva Magar of Jamuniya VDC of Dhanusha district, police said.
They had gone to Dhading to attend a programme organised by the Maoist-affiliated All Nepal Workers' Association in memory of 18 construction workers killed by security forces at Kotwada in Kalikot district during the insurgency.
Shrestha and Magar were swept away while taking a bath in the river, police said.
