Jamim Shah's 'murder' killed in Bangkok

KATHMANDU, FEB 16 - Underworld gangster Bhagwant Singh alias Bharat Nepali, who had claimed responsibility for the murder of media entrepreneur Jamim Shah, has been killed in Bangkok, Thailand.

He was allegedly bumped off in November last year by the henchmen of his former boss Rajan in, Outlookindia online reported quoting a top Mumbai police officer on Wednesday.

Nepali, a key former aide of MumbaiChhota Rajan, had been living under a fictitious name for the past few years.

Entrepreneur Shah, Chairman of Spacetime Network Pvt. Ltd., was shot dead in the heart of the capital on Feb. 7 last year.

One of the two motorcycle-borne masked men opened shots at Shah from a point-blank range in the busy street of Lajimpat, Kathmandu while he was heading towards his home in Panipokhari.

The government on Feb. 8 had formed a commission under the leadership of former Justice Govinda Prasad Parajuli to look into shah’s murder.
