11 overhead bridges to be constructed in Bhaktapur

BHAKTAPUR, JAN 30 -
Total 11 overhead bridges are going to be constructed at Tinkune-Suryabinayak road section which is being extended on the financial help of the government of Japan.
Saroj Pradhan, Chief of the Road Extension Project said the project carried out a survey when the numbers of accidents increase on the nine-km long six-lane road. He said it is necessary to construct 11 overhead bridges to control road accidents there.
He suggests for constructing overhead bridges at different places including Jadibuti, Lokanthali, Kaushaltar, Gatthaghar, Sallaghari and Suryabinayak.
It is said that there will be room only for traffic police under the overhead bridge.
Pradhan said over head bridge alone could not control the accidents that he stresses on the need for organising different public awareness programme. RSS
