RAJBIRAJ, JAN 21 - Madhesi Janadhikar Forum (MJF) Chairman Upendra Yadav Friday urged the three major parties to take United Nations’ Mission in Nepal (UNMIN)‘s last statement seriously.

Speaking to the media at Rajbiraj, Yadav warned the top guns of the major three political parties that the nation might plunge into darkness if they do not work responsibly.

He also claimed that the timely statute is possible given that everyone takes their responsibilities seriously. He also accused the big three of trying to dissolve the Constituent Assembly (CA).

Chairman Yadav further said the peace process will be taken to a logical conclusion only after the promulgation of the new constitution and the integration of the Maoist combatants.

He said the peace process will not yield results unless the issues of the Madhes are settled and the demands of the armed forces of Tarai, Hilly region and Mountainous region are fulfilled.

He claimed the country has been entrapped in the crisis due to the power lust of the big three parties.

Saying that the Maoists have not democratised themselves yet, Yadav remarked that the only intention of  the former rebel party is to impose one-party dictatorship through people's revolt.

In a different context Yadav said, there should be a new government – be it a national consensus government or a majority – within six months. He stressed that the government should address the demands of the armed political forces.

He further said the government has undermined the Madhesi forces by not incorporating  a single representative of Madhes region.
