Landgren meets PM Nepal
KATHMANDU, JAN 15 -
United Nations Mission in Nepal Chief Karin Landgren made a farewell call on Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal at the latter's residence, Baluwatar Saturday morning.
Expressing thanks for the UNMIN's help to the peace process in Nepal, Prime Minister Nepal informed UNMIN Chief Landgren that the political parties were holding discussion positively to reach the peace process to the logical end following the departure of the UNMIN.
On the occasion, UNMIN Chief Landgren said the peace process in Nepal was exemplary in the world. She also expressed confidence that the peace process would be made successful with the consensus and cooperation among the political parties
In response, the prime minister expressed his gratitude for assisting in the country's peace process and presented an idol of Gautam Buddha as a token of love.
Landgren is leaving for New York later this afternoon.
