KATHMANDU, JAN 14 - In yet another incident of broad daylight robbery, an armed group looted Rs. 1.4 million from Lalitpur-based Standard Chartered Bank on Friday.
A motorcycle-borne gang barged into the bank and held a staffer at gunpoint at around 1:10 this afternoon, police said. Three looters came on the bike (Ba 21 BWa 2856).
Police said the bank security guard did not retaliate against the miscreants. Police have beefed up security at major entry points of the Valley following the incident.
