Trust deficit is the cause of deadlock: Paudel

KATHMANDU, JAN 02 - Nepali Congress (NC) Parliamentary Party leader Ram Chandra Paudel said that the present political deadlock was due to the lack of trust among the parties.
Talking to journalists following a programme in Laitpur on Saturday, he said, "The present crisis is the crisis of trust. We are ready to do away with the trust deficit and the NC is ready to clear the Maoists if they are guilty."
Accusing the Maoist party of possessing weapons, Paudel stated that the party having weapons should be conscious while dealing with the party without weapons.
He said the Maoist party should be ready to forge consensus keeping the country's reality in mind. He said the basis for the national consensus will be ready if a situation was created to bring the NC and the Maoist party at a single platform.
