NAWALPARASI, DEC 29 -
The entrepreneurs of Kawasoti Bazar in Nawalparasi have staged a strike from 8 in the morning demonstrating against the Area Police Office on Monday.
The locals staged the demonstration when the police turned a deaf ear towards their request to arrest the robbers, who were caught red-handed while trying to rob two shops in the region.
It is reported that the entrepreneurs have also staged a sit-in chanting slogans in front of the Area Police Office.
The police ignored the request despite frequent calls made to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Dev Raj Lohani, locals said.
The locals have suspected the involvement of the police in the attempted robbery.
The police have not made any arrests even though Kawasoti and the neighbouring areas have been facing such incidents for the last three months, locals informed.
