KATHMANDU, DEC 21 -
UCPN (Maoist) Vice Chairman Narayan Kaji Shrestha said on Tuesday that the party has not accepted UML-Chairman Jhalanath Khanal as the new prime minister in the country.
Emerging from the party's office bearer meeting in Nayabazar, Shrestha said the party has not taken any official decision regarding Khanal's leadership in the new government.
"The party has not taken any decisions about UML Chairman Khanal's leadership, the party has only said that it will open alternatives for the election procedure," Shrestha said.
Earlier, Maoist leader Dev Gurung had said that his party would accept UML Chairman Khanal as the new prime minister.
