Maoists issue death threat to Jouro

Journalist Rana Bahadur Bk, a Rashtriya Samachar Samiti (RSS) correspondent based in Bajura, said on Saturday that the Maoist cadres threatened to kill him.
Bk, in a press statement issued today, said that he was repeatedly threatened over the issue of a new reports published on Nov. 12. He added the Maoists issued him a death threat asking him to write an apologize letter for the news.
On Nov 11, Binita Bk and Keshav Bk–two active cadres of the Maoists based in the district, were arrested and fined Rs. 1500 for carrying off two horses from a forest in Pandusen region.
The Maoists cadres have since then been pressurising Rana Bahadur BK to write against it. Bika has been forced to write an apology letter by Siddhartha Joshi, a Maoist inclined official at the Animal Service Office in Bajura.
The incident has been condemned by the Bajura chapter of Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ). The FNJ has formed a four-member committee led by Chairman Arjun Shah to look into the incident.
