BHARATPUR, NOV 30 -
President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav offered prayers at the Maula Kalika Temple in Gaidakot of Nawalparasi district on Tuesday.
Yadav, who arrived here at around 10 this morning in a helicopter, inaugurated the new Hawan Kunda of the temple built by the locals and the army.
On the occasion, Minister for Tourism and Civil Aviation Sharat Singh Bhandari, who accompanied the president in the visit, stated that the nation should be developed as a religious tourism site.
The government is working on the development of tourism in heritage sites such as Devghat, Trivenidham, and Maulikali, among others, he informed.
