NAWALPARASI, NOV 28 -
Transportation along the Mahendra Highway was obstructed for an hour after the students of Pragatinagar Janajyoti Higher Secondary School staged a protest on Sunday morning.
They resorted to a strike against the short-route vehicles plying along the Danda-Narayangarh road stretch, accusing the transport entrepreneurs of verbally abusing them and denying student concessions on Saturdays.
The highway returned to normalcy after a discussion between the students and the transport entrepreneurs was slated for Monday.
The bus drivers have been charging unreasonable fairs since last month.
