Chemjong warns of dire consequence
SHANISCHARE, NOV 12 -
Minister for Peace and Reconstruction Rakam Chemjong warned on Friday that the peace process would witness serious complexities if it was not settled prior to the termination of the tenure of United Nations Mission in Nepal (UNMIN).
Speaking at a press conference organised by the CPN-UML, Department of Publicity in Shanischare today, Chemjong claimed that the problem will surface regarding the integration and management of armies if no understanding is built at the earliest to hand over the responsibility that UNMIN has been carried out to another body before the exit of the mission.
The peace process could not take a leap due to the UCPN (Maoist)'s military-centric mind-set and craze for weapons, he claimed accusing the Maoists of reluctant to turn as civilian party.
He also urged the Maoists to not create hurdles in bringing budget in the country and become serious towards the country and people.
