PANCHTHAR, OCT 10 -
Fifty-eight-year-old Shankher Bahadur Phatra of Bharpa Village Development Committee (VDC)-3 of Panchthar was beaten to death.
He breathed his last when Gajendra Lawati severely manhandled by tying him with rope citing the former did not pay attention on household chores. Phatra was mason by profession.
Locals accused the police administration of deliberately releasing Lawati from jail with the help of police itself though he was arrested on the charge of murder.
They alleged police of taking large chunk of money to free him from detention.
